CHI SIAMO
Siamo gli amici del Monte Rosa - Onlus, costituiti in associazione nel dicembre del 2000 col preciso scopo di aiutare la popolazione del Nepal.
CHE COSA VUOL DIRE ONLUS
Organizzazione Non Lucrativa di Utilità Sociale. Siamo una associazione che senza fini di guadagno opera con il solo scopo di promuovere attività che consentano di aiutare i meno fortunati.
COME SIAMO NATI
Spontaneamente grazie all'intuizione di Silvio Mondinelli, alpinista, e Renato Andorno, fotoreporter.
CHE COSA ABBIAMO GIA' FATTO
Abbiamo costruito una scuola elementare a Namche Bazar, a 3440 metri di quota, nella valle Kumbu, in Nepal. Ora 80 bambini possono andare a scuola.
CHE COSA VOGLIAMO FARE
Continuare a mantenere la scuola elementare e costruire un ambulatorio medico nel distretto di Dhading. Costruire una scuola professionale a indirizzo turistico alberghiero nelle vicinanze di Katmandu.
QUANTO TEMPO CI SERVE
Il tempo necessario a raccogliere i fondi che servono per portare a termine i nostri progetti. Per questo abbiamo bisogno dell'aiuto di tutti, soprattutto del Tuo.
PERCHE'
Un nepalese su due è al limite della soglia di povertà. La vita media è di circa 50 anni. L'istruzione è un lusso. Solo chi ha buona salute e una cultura sufficiente potrà guadagnarsi un futuro migliore.

WE ARE
Friends of Monte Rosa. Our organization was born in December 2000 with the specific aim of helping the Nepalese people.
It's the abbrevation in italian for Social Aid No-Profit Organization. We are a no-profit making association working to promote activities that are meant to help the less fortunate poor popolations.
HOW WE BEGAN
Spontaneously thanks to the intuitions of Silvio Mondinelli, an Alpine mountaineer, and Renato Andorno, photographer and journalist.
WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY DONE
We have built a primary school at Namche Bazar (3440m above s.l.) in the Kumbu Valley, in Nepal. Now 80 children can go to school.
WHAT WE WANT TO DO
We want to continue to keep the primary school open. We want to build a surgery in the Dhading district. We want to build a professional vocational school with courses for tourism and hotel catering.
HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE
The time necessary to collect the funds needed to carry out plans. For this reason we especially need Your help.
WHY
One out of every two Nepalese lives below the poverty line and the other is just above it. Their average lifespan is 50 years. Education is a luxury here. Only health and education can guarantee a better future for them.
